My 2xgtgm, Annie O'Brien was the daughter of Michael O'Brien and Mary McDonald. She was born between 1833 and 1838 at Cootehill according to all her statutory documents located in Australia. She was Roman Catholic. She never listed a townland unless Cootehill can be classed as a townland also.
Despite help from several people over the years, her birth entry has never been located nor much concrete evidence of the existance of this family in Cootehill or the wider area of Co.Cavan.

I did search the subscription site Roots Ireland and like others was unable to find a baptismal record for Anne or any sibling of Michael O'Brien and Mary McDonald. Possibly she was baptized in the neigboring parish of Knockbride where baptismal records are not available until May 1835.

Many thanks for your help. I'll join the Knockbride Parish and cancel the Drumgoon one in the hope that Annie was indeed born after May 1835.
