Hi. My ancestor ANDREW DAVID DOWD is listed as living in Denn on 30 April 1859 - he would have been 30, as the only record I can find about his birth is 1829, County Cavan. He married Elizabeth Ann Smith in 1856 in Ireland.
His parents are David Dowd (c.1795 County Cavan) and his mother may have been Daphne.
There was a sister, Mary, and a brother Patrick (c.1817), who married Anne Smythe in 1840 in Ireland.
Patrick & Andrew both emigrated to South Australia with their families.
Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated.

Griffiths Valuation for 1857 lists David Dowd as holding plots 11 & 12 in Ranrenagh. That was a farm totaling about 9 acres.
The family had left by 1901:
