The surname Hughes is very common in Tynan civil parish.

I searched on Roots Ireland for a baptismal record for Mary Hughes. There were four possible Mary Hughes baptismal records in the Tynan RC parish with father named Bernard, however, none of the mother's names was Bridget. I also did not find a Mary Hughes baptismal record with a father Bernard and mother Bridget in other parishes of Armagh. 

Civil registration of births did not start until 1864.

Thank you, Roger!! I THINK there is a possibility that Mary and some of her sibllings MAY have been born in Liverpool because I can find an Irish-born Barnard and Bridget Hughes in the Liverpool 1851 (?) census. Don' t know if this is really them or not...
