Hi I am looking for any information on Joseph Greenwood and Isabella Barr they where married on 7/11/1854 and later moved to scotland they had 5 children all born in Laughall Mary dob 1853 William dob 1854 John 1858 .
Thankyou for any help you can give me as i am stuck on this family

I have had a look in the indexes to Irish civil registration but cannot see a marriage between Joseph Greenwood & Isabella Barr anywhere around 1854.
The children?s births are before the start of civil registration (1864) so you won?t find a birth certificate for them. You might find the baptisms but to do that you?d need to know their denomination. Judging by the 1901 census for Armagh most Greenwoods were Church of Ireland or Methodist. Loughgall Church of Ireland baptisms start in 1706 have been copied and are held in PRONI, Belfast. (they are not on-line). The local Methodist baptisms start in 1815. They remain in local custody (ie you would need to write to the church).
Griffiths Valuation for 1864 has John Greenwood and Elizabeth Greenwood both with properties in Lislasly townland and another John Greenwood in Ballymagerny. They are the only Greenwoods listed for the parish at that time.
