I am trying to track down information on a Family of Honeyfords who we believe came from either Waterfoot or perhaps Bessbrook in Northern Ireland. When they lived in Bolton 3 males who never married were school teachers the remaining male was my Great Grandfather whoes wife was disliked even by their own sons. Unfortunately due to this I do not even know my Great Grandfathers first name which makes things hard to track down. My grandfather Jim Honeyford had 3 other brothers Tom Stanley & Richard Honeyford. Tom published his autobiography with little information about his father only the mill where he was a spinner. The 4 brothers refused to have drink in the house due to the problems their father had - especially their mother who was considered fearsom and scary who was from Bolton.

My Grandfather was born in 1871 so his father was perhaps born 20 to 30 years earlier maybe in Bolton or more likely in Northern Ireland (Waterfoot or perhaps Bessbrook)
