Lawrence McVary b. abt. 1825 m. Bridget (maiden surname unknown) about 1845 in Ireland. Bridget was b. Dec 1831 in Ireland, likely Armagh as well.
Their first child, Michael, was born in Ireland abt 1846.
The family left Ireland for USA about 1848, resided in Alexandria, VA, Brandywind, MD and Washington, DC.
Owen McVary, age 17, and another youth age 12 (possibly Francis) were living with Michael and his family in 1850.
Known children's names are Michael, James, Mary Ann, Sarah Ellen, Joseph, Catherine and Delia.
There are many spellings of McVarry including McVary, McVery, McVerry, and in America McVearry.
