Need as much information as possible on Samuel Frew born 1809 in Killard, Antrim,died 1887. He married Ellen McKeown 10th July 1883 in Killard presbyterian Dungonnell Killard.
Had following children:
Annabella born april 1834 Dungonnell
Alexander born nov 1835 Oldstone
Isabella born 1836 Killard and married John Boyd oct 1857 Muckamore presbyterian church.
John born aug 1838 Killard
William born aug 1843 Kilcross
Samuel Frew is my GGG grandfather.
John Frew is my GG grandfather and along with William they both came to New Zealand some time before 1868 because John married here in that year to Caroline Sophia Evans.
I have extensive records of them (mainly John) from that time forward but not a lot before their arrival in New Zealand. Any help in tracing this family would be fantastic.

There are a few places that you can check for record of the family.
Church Records:
Presbyterian registers are held in three main locations:
in local custody
in the Public Records of Northern Ireland (PRONI) http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm
at the Presbyterian Historical Society http://www.presbyterianhistoryireland.com in Belfast.
PRONI has microfilm copies of almost all registers in Northern Ireland and also lists of records held by the Presbyterian Historical Society.
Land Records:
A property valuation survey was carried out in Ireland between 1848 and 1864. It is called Griffith?s Valuation and you can search it online here:

Civil records:
Civil registration began in Ireland in 1864 so any births, deaths or marriages in the family after this date would be recorded in these records. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

Census Records:
