I recently discovered my great-grandparents William James Dunleavey and Margaret Caldwell Smyth Dunleavey were buried in the Killead cemetery.  Margaret died in Sept 1927 and William Jan 13 1940.    I was told there was a family plot.   I looked at the killead website and noticed there is a grave "Smyth" don't know if this is connected to Margaret's first husband (no details are known of this marriage).

Would anyone be able to look at the church records.

thank you

  • LoLo,

Which churchyard in Killead are you referring to? There is a Church of Ireland churchyard and a Presbyterian one. Is this your family in 1911? (If so, they were Presbyterian, though they might still be buried in the Church of Ireland).

  • Hello Elwyn

thank you for the link, yes these are my great-grandparents and my grandfather.  My great-grandparents are buried in the Killead Presbyterian Church - Margaret in Setp 1927 and William in Jan 1940.

i only recently found out which churchyard, I had been told they were buried in the family plot in the village of crumlin.
