I am looking for birth/baptism records of my 2nd ggf Charles Bashford born about 1796  ... I believe in or near Carrickfergus.

The first documentary evidence is the 1841 Census when he and his family lived in Kilmarnock, Scotland.  He died there on Oct 13th, 1844.

He married Agnes McNeillie ... probably in Ireland.

All their seven children were born in Scotland ... the first in 1826.

I would appreciate any leads you might have.

    I checked Roots Ireland but could not find the baptismal or marriage records for Charles. If Charles was Presbyterian then Roots does not have baptismal or marriage records for that period.
