The beautifully restored Ulster Canal Stores Visitor Centre is home to Clones Lace Museum, and offers visitors a warm welcome and traditional food.
At various times of year. we offer a range of workshops and historical talks, and host art and photographic exhibitions in our Restaurant.
Situated on the main Cavan Road, Clones, in the heart of the Drumlin Irish countryside in County Monaghan. Travel time of just over 90 minutes from Dublin or Belfast.
The refurbished Canal Stores was built in the late 1800’s, of cut limestone with original pitch pine beams and cobblestone floor. Perfect for a stop-off while deciding on where to explore in Irelands Ancient East. Full disabled access, ample parking and playpark next door. Historicl sitres within walking distance. Throughout July & August free guided walking tours every Saturday at 11am. Large groups and coaches welcome by prior booking.
