I am trying to find out where my 4th-great grandfather, William Magraw, was born. All I know is that he was born somewhere in Ireland around 1795 and immigrated to Maryland, USA before 1840. His father was James Magraw and he also immigrated to Maryland. After he arrived in Maryland, he married a woman named Rebecca Miller. He may have been from Tipperary but that is not certain. That is all I know. I appreciate any help.

Hello @rsamgk
It may be difficult to trace where in Ireland William was born. What religion was he do you know? If he was Catholic, records for baptisms and marriages only began in the 1820s, 30s and 40s, depending on where born. Some places were later than others to start. If he was Protestant or another religion you may have some chance. From what I can see most Magraw records were in the north of the country. Have you found either of their immigration records? They might state what county they were from. Or if they became naturalised citizens in the US you may gain that information.
Sorry I am unable to answer your query.
Kind regards
