I have found a 08 December 1779 baptismal record for my great-great Grandfather, Thomas Casey, on RootsIreland. His parents are named as Daniel Casey and Ellen Casey. The site is listed as St Patrick's, County Waterford. No more detail is given to specifically identify the location. There must be any number of St Patrick's in County Waterford. How do I determine which church is the site of Thomas' baptism? I am confident that this is my ancestors record because the December 1779 date corresponds with his death record. Thomas' son, my great-grandfather William Casey, was born near Ballyduff, County Waterford so I would give greater weight to a St Patrick's Church in the western part of Waterford nearer the border with County Cork. Thank you for any and all insights or suggestions. Richard Burbach, Minnesota USA

Hi, Is this your Thomas?

This is the record that RootsIreland would use.
If you put....St Patrick's, County Waterford into your main search (google etc) you will come up with this.......
St. Patrick's and St. Olaf's, Waterford city, Waterford ...
https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1119
St. Patrick's and St. Olaf's, Waterford city Diocese of Waterford and Lismore | County of Waterford . Variant forms of parish name: St. Patrick's, Waterford City. Waterford City, St. Olaf's. St. Patrick's and St. Olaf's. St. Olaf's, Waterford City. Show more/less. Microfilm 02447 / 01 . Baptisms 11 Apr. 1731 to 10 Feb. 1743 Marriages 11 Apr. 1731 to 10 Feb. 1743 48 images. Microfilm 02447 / 03 ...
Then if you use this link
https://registers.nli.ie/Go to Waterford, zoom in where you see Waterford City and St.John's there is a white cross, zoom in again and you will see where the Church is.
The small map on the right us the "-" and then you will see it's Parish borders with the next one in County Kilkenny.
Let me know if you find it.
