Hi, Mark Green is my name and I am trying to find where I fit in ancestry wise. I have always identified as Irish but fear my connections are too far in the past. My recent family on my fathers side is this-
My Grandmother was Gloria Ross - Born 18 May 1923 Longreach Queensland Australia - Passed 22 August 1983 Brisbane Queensland Australia.
My Great Grandfather was Michael Armstrong Ross - Born 25 August 1892 Mt Morgan Queensland Australia - Passed 19 March 1960 Sydney New South Wales Australia.
My G-Great Grandfather was David Knox Ross - Born 1859 Donaghcloney, Down, Ireland - Passed 7 December 1892 Mt Morgan Queensland Australia.
My G-G-Great Grandfather was Armstrong Ross - Born 1840 Corcreeney, Down, Ireland - Passed 17 March 1926 Rockhampton Queensland Australia.
My G-G-G-Great Grandfather was David Ross - Born 1805 Armagh Ireland - Passed 1860.
I am not sure if I can call myself part of the Ross clan My father always did even though our surname was Green (My grandmother married a Green). I am a proud Australian just looking to the past but my ears always prick up when my father mentions old ladies in the family speaking Gaeilge when he was a child.
I am not even sure what I am looking for with this post, a connection maybe, or perhaps a sense of identity, who knows.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Mark,
There are 86 public member trees for this family on Amazon. Can't vouch for the accuracy of each, but you may find some information there.
