Trying to find killeens in cahercalla,kinvara

I assume you do not have Mary's maiden name.

Images of civil birth records stops in 1920 because of Irish privacy rules.So if Mary and Michael were the only two children, records are not available.

Civil marriage records are available thru 1945 but I looked for a Michael Killeen marriage 1920-1923 in the Gort area and did not see a record.

I believe this 1911 census record is for Michael and his family.

The townland you mention Cahercalla is not the correct spelling possibly is was Cahercarney.

Let me know if you have further info on the family. I'm going to check one other data base.

Roots Ireland gives a transcription for the death of Delia Killeen on 24 Feb 1926. Age 24. Died at Cahervillan, Kinvara parish, Co. Galway. Husband Michael, a farmer.

Roots Ireland also gives the death of Anna Naughton at Roo on 21 Sept 1937, age 65.

I do not know Delia maiden name though??

Your information is interesting,all we know is that Mary's mother(Delia) died when she was young we didn't know how young,but this would suggest her mother died when she was 3 which is when they moved in with the naughtons in Roo.How would I find out when Micheal Killeen died as we believe he also died when Mary and Her brother were young??Can I ask what genealogy sites you use ?? Hi Aly,

I wanted to clarify a few things. Roo and Roo demesne are two different places. One is in Kinvara the other is in Kilmacduagh. I can only attach one image so instead, I am attaching a document with screenshots. I have taken screenshots of the two Roos to show the difference.

Delia Naughten is 9 years old and living with her family in Roo Kilmacduagh in 1911. There is a screenshot of that attached.

The Michael Killeen in the Roo Demesne Census that Rodger Linked http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Kinvarra/Roo_Demesne/462264/ has an older sister Bridget Killeen. She is present at his death in 1921. The death cert describes him as a bachelor. He could not be Mary's father in 1923. I have a screenshot of the death record included as well.

I have not been able to find a marriage cert for Delia and Michael on Roots,Findmypast or Irishcivil records. I will do some more looking and get back to you.
