Michael Treacy married Unknown and had two children: Mary b1839, on the night of the Big Wind i.e. January 1839: Michael b1841. No knowledg of what happened to Michael but his wife ? and children moved to Thurles, Co. Tipperary, possibly around 1850.

Patience:
The Kinvara RC records start in 1831 but I don't see a good lead for a baptismal record for Michael Treacy born 1841 with father Michael. Also, did not see a Mary Treacy baptismal record in January 1839 when the Big Wind came thru.
Do you have the birth record for Thomas Treacy and his parents marruage record?

Have all records in Thurles from marriage of Thomas's parents Michael Treacy and Mary Kelly onwards. A cousin did research and couldn't find Michael senior coming to Thurles and couldn't identify christian name of his wife or find a death for her. Also have records for Mary Treacy b. 1839 when she married in Thurles and onwards.
I went to Kinvara, (both Galway Bay and Connemara) and saw priest at Kinvara (GB) and they weren't in the records. Not on the parish list done in 1834 either. Got Kinvara connection from a descendant of Mary Treacy b1839. I have listed before but got no information. Have tried other possible locations but can't pin down the information.
I have put information on Portumna Parish as well as my Grandfather visited there quite a bit. Also did dna test this year but nothing from that on Treacy side up to now.
The only other connecton to Galway is that my Great Grandmother Mary Kelly had a sister who married a Shaughnessy in Thurles.

Roger, meant to say there was a gap in the records for Kinvara at the crucial time so can't rule out Kinvara.
