Hello All,
I hope you are well! My name is Hunter, and I am trying to track down some information on my family--I apologize in advance because I have very limited information, as it seems my 2nd Great Grandfather had some issues with family in Ireland that somehow resulted in him moving to Canada (When asked, would reportedly say "Let sleeping dogs sleep.") so its a bit of a huge longshot.
My great-grandfather's name was Thomas John Barry, born in 1861 in Galbally, Co. Limerick (Some sources say Ballylanders) to John Barry and Mary Tobin and immigrated to Canada in 1882. John Barry might have remarried Sarah J. Barry later as well.
Unfortunately, that is quite literally all I got; I guess my hope here is that someone finds this and goes, "Oh my, someone knows the mysterious Thomas John Barry in my family tree!" and might have some information I don't--I am unsure if Thomas had siblings. There are also some documents/hearsay in my family that he might have lived in Dublin as well before he left for Canada (His obligatory said so).
I appreciate your time. This is one hell of a long shot, but I have been really trying lately to understand my own heritage and reconnect with my culture.
Le dea-ghuí,
Hunter
