The baptism date, not the birth date, was 14 December. I checked the actual register page.

Tony:
You asked about addresses. The three mentioned: Ballaghaderreen, Ardkill and Gortanure/Palmfield are currently in Co. Roscommon but prior to 1898 were part of Co. Mayo. The Roots Ireland transcribers showed Roscommon for the pre-1898 records but the locations were actually in Mayo. ( In 1898 the British Parliament passeda Local Government Act which transferred townlands from Mayo to Roscommon and also from Roscommon to Galway further south.
Ballaghaderreen is a large town in Co. Roscommon. The Cathedral in Ballaghaderreen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_the_Annunciation_of_the_Blessed_Virgin_Mary_and_St_Nathy,_Ballaghaderreen is the Cathedral for the Diocese of Achonry which consists of over twenty parishes in East May and South Sligo.
Palmfield/Gortanure is a large townland about four miles west of Ballaghaderreen on the old N5 road ( About 15 years ago an N5 bypass was built around Ballaghaderreen).
Ardkill/Ardcull is southeast of Gortanure and also about four miles west from Ballaghaderreen.
The surname Towey is very common in the general Ballaghaderreen area.

Patricia and Roger, thank you so much. Do you know if #9 Gortanure still exists?
Thank you so much.

Hi, May I ask where you found the No. 9 address? If it is from the 1901 or 1911 census, it usually means the number of the house in order of enumeration and is not an actual house number.

Ok, do not remember exact place, however the Census makes sense. Thank you for the info, I had hoped it was an actual home. I will press on with research and I truly appreciate your help.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think the Census makes perfect sense. I really needed that piece of information; I was hoping it was a real house. I am grateful for your assistance and will continue with my studies.
