Thanks for that -- I would never have looked there.

My wife Katrine is related by descent or by marriage to a number of people from Clonoulty who I wanted to locate in the 1824 records.

James Vinn (entry 99) from "Shrahavarla" and his wife Sarah Browne were Katrine's 3G-grandparents. By the 1840s, "Vinn" had morphed to "Finn". Their son Patrick Finn, his wife Margaret Bannon (from Ballycahill) and their eight surviving children emigrated to Australia in 1853.

Sarah's brothers or cousins included James Browne (entry 26) and Edmond Browne (entry 27) of Clonoulty Hill.

William Ryan (entry 131) of "Ballough" was married to Nancy Vinn, most probably James' sister.

Three of the Finn children who emigrated in 1853 eventually married emigrants with family connections from Clonoulty. The eldest child James Finn married Margaret Ryan in 1868 (and were Katrine's 2G-grandparents); Margaret's father was Thomas Ryan born in "Tora" in 1815 to a Michael Ryan and Mary Ryan, though I am not sure where they fit in to the 1824 records.  The fourth child Sarah Finn married Owen Maher in 1853; Owen's father was Larry Maher who had land in both "Shrahavarla" (entry 85) and "Kilmore" (entry 80); after Larry died circa 1848, his widow Mary Keogh emigrated to Australia aged 60 in 1850 with her seven children. The eighth child Margaret Finn married Edward Bergin in 1868; while Edward was born in Australia about 1842, his parents Patrick Bergin and Catherine McGrath had seven of their children in Ardmayle, Boherlahan, before they emigrated in 1838; I am fairly sure that Catherine's father was Phil McGrath (entry 59) from Clonoulty Curragh. The tenth child Anne Finn (baptised Hanna, called Nancy at emigration) married Michael Ryan in 1864; Michael's parents were Richard Ryan and Judith (sometimes Joanna) Ryan who were near-neighbours of Patrick Finn in Srahavarrella in the 1850 Griffith Survey, though I am yet to work out which family of Ryans they were associated with in 1824.
