My maternal great great grandfather Thomas Swift was born in county Meath in approx. 1836. He emigrated to Australia in 1860 and died in 1902. His parents were Thomas Swift and Ellen Carrole . I’m looking for information on his birthplace, date etc if any can help. Thank you

I have found on Thomas’ son’s Australian birth certificate that he stated that Westmeath was his birthplace , whereas on other documents it’s states Meath. Also the death certificate puts his birth year closer to 1840, aged 61 in 1902.
