Looking for information on Thomas Hayes born c1790 in Carrick-on-Suir and immigrated to Newfoundland c1820. My daughter has a trip to Ireland planned in March and I was hoping to get to Tipperary to the Hayes home town and to Ballymoe Galway to my Martin family home.

Hi, there are 7 Thomas Hayes baptisms in Tipperary between 1780 and 1800 plus a number in the adjoining counties of Waterford and Kilkenny. This is on the subscription site Roots Ireland but without a parent name it is impossible to identify him unless there are siblings you know and you can check parents.
I am not local but interested in Tipperary, there are at least 3 Tipperary genealogy pages on Facebook, one deals with DNA but the others are focused on the paper trail etc and I see people commenting on their visit or ask about things there, mind you on FB the people are not only in Tipperary.
Tipperary library also have a genealogy section but at that remove there is very little except church records and Hayes is a name found there. http://tipperarystudies.ie/
