My great-grandfather, Wiilam Casey emigrated to the United States from Ballyduff Upper. I am trying to locate and document the place where his parents are buried. Based on anecdotes are other records I have the impression they may have been buried in a Catholic cemetery more toward Tallow and possibly Aglish. There are fewer reasons to suggest the village of Ballyduff or Mocollup cemetery. Thomas died (at the tremendous are of 102) at the home of his son, Maurice (wife: Mary Daly) in Ballyduff Upper on 20 October 1882. Ellen (Phelan) Casey died at Maurice and Mary's home on 07 July 1883 at the age of 90.
Are there burial records available for 1882 and 1883 for these areas? Maurice and Mary may -- OR MAY NOT -- have been buried in the same family plot. I do know from Third Cousins (Maurice and Mary's grandchildren) that their father Michael Casey died in 1922 was buried quickly with his parents because he and a couple of his children died of the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1922. Again, I am mostly interested in the location of Thomas and Ellen's grave. If Maurice and Mary and their son Michael are in any way associated with the site it will further confirm that we have found the correct location.
Sincere thanks for any and all assistance.
