Hello i am looking for any records in or around the Waterford region for
Thomas C Daley born around 1770, here is all info i have so far,
Someone, I think an uncle, said he had "sailed from Waterford", so he probably lived in Waterford, but could have been Kilkenny or any surrounding farm? He was a carpenter when he married, but dont know if he was a carpenter in Ireland. Also, there was a "story" that 5 brothers had come over either together or around the same time, but no evidence of that. Nova Scotia was being populated by planters in the later 1700's and then Loyalists from the Amberican Revolution (1776) also were coming to Nova Scotia. He may have even started out in New York or somewhere else, even Quebec? Not much to go on.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The susbscription site Roots Ireland has a 1767 Thomas Daly baptismal record in Waterford city (see below) as well as records in other counties. You really need his parents names to confirm any record available. FYI most RC parishes in Ireland do not have records back to 1770.
