Can you provide additional information about this family, including the information from the census? Names, approx. birth dates, places, etc.? Thanks.

Hi Patricia,
my paternal great grandfather, Thomas Ryan, appeared on the UK 1921 Census, aged 71, born in Gortnagany, Roscommon. The 1841-1851 Irish Census for Gortagany, Tibohine showed Patrick and Mary Ryan nee Morriss with Thomas aged 2 and Catherine aged 4. There were Morrisses shown in Gortagny on the same census. The 1901 Irish Census for Gortagany showed Patrick and Mary Ryan aged 75 and 74 respectively. In the same household were John and Catherine Boyle their son in law and daughter. The Boyles also appeared on the 1911 Census but unsurprisingly neither Patrick nor Mary appeared. on the 1901 Census there were 2 other households headed by a Ryan. I hope this information is helpful to you.
I also found a Baptismal record for a Thomas Ryan on 21/9/1879 in loughglynn Parish, parents Thomas Ryan and Honoria Finn. There was also a marriage record for Thomas Ryan and Honoria Finn, both from Gorthaganny on 20/2 1868. Thomas's parents were Andrew Ryan and Honoria Case, Honoria's parents were John Finn and Eleonora Crolly. Any information you are able to provide to me will be most welcome.
sincere best wishes
Steve Ryan

Note that the 1901 Irish census gives place of birth of Patrick Ryan, age 75, as County MAYO, not Roscommon.
It's not clear to me if you've looked at all the records for the Thomas in the 1921 census. Have you seen his death record, obituary, headstone, etc.? Do you have his marriage record, or are you wondering if he is the Thomas who married Honoria? Are you sure that this Thomas is the same one shown in the 1851 Irish census, or is that what you hope to prove?

Hi Patricia,
the Thomas appearing on the 1921 UK Census, he remained in the UK up until his death in 1930. I do have a copy of his death certificate. The information I am trying to glean relates to the generation before him.
I hope this is helpful to you
kind regards
Steve
