Hi.

I have recently found a photo of my Great Aunt Johanna Sinnott.

Written on the back in her hand writing 'I got married on Saturday 17th January 1953'.

I know she was married to John Joseph Cushen  in 1927 and she used the name Cushen  until she died in 1984.

I have found a marriage record for Johanna E Sinnott  in the first quarter 1953 in Dublin but am unable to confirm if it is her.

This is as far as I have been able to go.

I would be very interested to know if this was possibly her.

Thank you for any help you might be able to supply me with.

A bit hard to confirm, what year was Johanna Born? on the 1927 marriage it says she was from Crane, I have seen a Patrick Sinnott in Crane in 1911, Johanna is not listed. Only a Mary and three boys. Mother was Catherine nee Gainfort No results for a birth for Johanna. You say Johanna was your great Aunt, what is the name of her sibling.....your grandparent. Margot

  • Hi Margot Thanks for the link to the 1927 marriage. Johanna's death record states she was born 31st march 1900. I can't find a birth for her but I do have a baptism record in 1904 . Her sister my Grandmother Mary Kate was born 1908 and their parents were, Patrick Sinnott and Cathrine Gainfort. I don't have a name for the man in the 1953 marriage, only a date on the back of a photo. Thanks Mick
