My Great Grandfather Daniel Dwyer migrated to Queensland Australia in 1859. He gave no details of his origins other than Tipperary and that he had been cared for as a young person, by a lady who met him on the street. His children stated on his death registration in Australia that his parents were Daniel Dwyer (a farmer) and Catherine Stephens and that he came from Cashel. Griffiths Valuation has only five lots rented by a Daniel Dwyer in South Riding, all in an area between Dundrum and Annacarty. I have spent time in that area, in 2017, asking around to find that Daniel Dwyer was not a familiar name to anyone I spoke to there. I met a few John Dwyers but I am named John for my other Great grandfathers. The centre at Tipperary has done a search, but of course there are no church records from the 1830s. The biggest problem seems to be that Daniel the son of Daniel migrated, so unless the name was picked up by extended family, may have disappeared. Any clues will be very much appreciated.
