Looking for help in searching a parish and details of my G/Grandmother Sarah Hanlon. Her marriage certificate states born in Louth , Father= Patrick Hanlon= Mother= Margaret MacNamee and her father a farmer. She sailed to Australia on the ship Wansfell in 1863. Can find no church records for birth etc.

I do thank you for your reply on Sarah Hanlon Patricia. Dates I have of her are -Wedding certificate shows age 27 and she married in 1870 which makes her birth around 1843-- on the passenger list for the ship Wansfell in which she sailed to Queensland Australia- and have family proof of the voyage she took- they have written her as age 26 and she arrived in Australia in 1863. I would presume more to 1840 - 43.as on her death the article written of her in the Charters Towers paper says 71 in 1921. As usual many different dates. Delsey

Des,
RootsIreland gives this baptism for a Saragh Hanlon--but her mother is not Margaret. Is it possible that Margaret died and Patrick remarried? The date of the baptism is 1850, which agrees with the age given in the Charter Towers paper.Saragh Hanlon
