I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with the following question.
Does anyone who's familiar with the history of Rossorry Civil parish and the surrounding area know if any native Irish inhabitants were obliged to flee the area? William Lecky, in A History of Ireland in the 18th Century, mentions that many left Ulster especially from the 1790s and settled in Connaught. His book certainly provided me with a greater insight into Irish history from about the 1580s to 1800. I'm looking into a possible ancestral link with this part of Fermanagh.
