I planned to visit the County of Tipperary to see the place from where my ancestors come from. My ancestors leaved Ireland in the mid-1840 to emigrate in USA and finally establish in Canada. His parents were William Reynolds and Mary Ann Starr Carroll.

Dear Agirard9,
if you could provide more details of your ancestor as it would help us to know how to advise you to maximise the benefits of your trip. I have looked for a baptism with parents William Reynolds and mother Mary Ann Carroll/ Starr and have not found any. Carroll and Starr are relatively common names in the North Tipperary area and there are a number of Reynolds families scattered across the area.
kind regards
Margaret

Hello. I have my 4x great grandparents came from the nenagh/Terryglass area.
They were Patrick Reynolds and Sarah Hart born approximately 1789 to 1791.
They had 7 children, Catherine, Patrick John, Sarah, Michael, Martin and William.
Patrick Jnr, John and Catherine came to Australia in 1852 and the rest of the family came in 1856.
I would be interested to know if there is a connection to your William Reynolds

FitzgeraldReynolds,
I am only finding three baptisms for children born to Patrick Reynolds and Sarah Hart- John 1828, Sarah, 1830 and Martin 1837 all baptised in Terryglass. I didnt locate a marriage record for them.
The address for John is given as 'The Rock' ;the other address is Carhunaclough. I believe that the modern day spelling for this townland is Carrownaglough.
There are a couple of people who have registered on http://www.connorsgenealogy.com/tipp/ that they are also researching the Reynolds name from Terryglass.

Hi>
I am a great-great great grandson of William Reynolds (1821-1910) of Neanagh, Tipperary. He leave his country for America in 1840, probably with his brothers and a sister. With the help of the DNA test, I find his parents William Reynolds (abt1800-abt1845) and Mary Carroll Starr. Their parent were William Reynolds (at 1765- ) and Catherine Sweeny. The couple Reynolds-Sweeny are the parent of your Patrick Reynolds, husband of Sarah Hart.
I reach to establish this connection whit DNA sample of me and my mother on ancestry DNA and 23andMe. The two samples showed a connection with a descendant of the Sweeney family which I contact earlier this year. I also saw on ancestry a DNA connection with members of the Reynolds of New Wales by Patrick Reynolds and Sara Hart (C.f. the family tree of Ryan Enright of Maitland, New South Wales, Australia, on Ancestry). The interesting in those result is the fact that the only connection between the Reynolds oh New Wales and the Reynolds of my family who live in Québec, Canada was those William Reynolds and Catherine Sweeny. Most of my other ancestor come from France.
It could be interesting to share info about the history of the Reynolds we have in common.
Kind regards
André Girard Québec, Canada
