I'm trying to find my GGGF Patrick Williams birth or baptism records. He was married in 1877 to Bridget Galvin (In Moate Westmeath...she was born in Ballydrown) and it lists his father as John on the civil records. Based on the 1901 Census his estimated birth would be around 1851. The Catholic Parish Registers on the NLI website have a gap between 1845 and 1854. Any suggestions on where I can look to try to track down this record? Or does this crossover with anyone else's tree? I'm hoping to go further back but can't confirm his father and mother without a good birth or baptism record. If this helps anyone my mother Margaret Williams Stewart has a GEDmatch kit UC6000556.

Stewie:
Ages shown in the 1901 census were frequently understated.
You mention a gap between 1845 and 1854 for a parish register. Was this for Moate or another parish?
I looked on the subscription site Roots Ireland and I saw an 1844 baptismal record for a Patrick Williams with father John and mother Rose Doyle. The RC parish was Athlone.

Thanks Roger. I have this listed as a possible. Since most of the Williams relations seem to be from Laughil Ballynahown I'm leaning to the Father Being a John Williams and the mother Eleanor Moran. This was suggested to me by someone else on another website and seems to line up better. I'm hoping I can confirm which ever option by DNA as with no census and no civil and Church records for this Parish during this period I have little else to go on to confirm at this point.
