My GGF was John Murphy, husband of Hannah O'Neill from County Down, their son, my GF, born circa 1888 married Anna Theresa McConville born 27/11/1895.
I would like to know if there is any connection between Patrick Murphy, son of James and Peggy (Cunningham) from Down. I know Patrick died a single man with no children but he may have had a brother!
Patrick was very tall because his pituary gland was compromised (probably a tumour) . My grandson is a very tall young man who at the age of ten was found to have a tumour in the pituary gland. I was found to have the gene that carries this disease and as my mother (Mary Murphy) is now dead I cannot ask her.
I have tried searching for a link beween James Murphy and my GGF but have been unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated.
