Patrick emigrated to Australia possibly 1864? with wife Johanna nee Fitzpatrick. Information from newspaper ad states Patrick as publican for "Emerald Isle Hotel" Fremantle Western Australia. Johanna dies 1877. Patrick leaves for Melbourne with five small children. Patrick marries Margaret Cavanagh and has three more children.
Marriage Certificate states Patrick parents as Johanna Daley and Patrick Moloney. Patrick dies in New South Wales 2 March 1892.
Any help on Patricks birth place & marriage to first wife Johanna will be appreciated. many thanks.

The parish record is in poor condition and only part of the record, as on Roots is visible.
It is on Page 10 right side.

Thats incredible, Thank you! how lucky to at least have that little snippet of information available! Theres lots of information on Patrick & Johanna here in Australia, but have no information of his birth or family in Ireland, except for what you have found, I'm very grateful.

What nationality were Patrick's wives.
You might add some further information on Patrick's work life, as an Irish publican would be a magnet for other Irish persons in that area.

Hi McCoy,
The first of Patricks wives Johanna Fitzpatrick, Im only assuming she is from Ireland as they both came over to Australia together. I have her death certificate but unfortunately does not state where born. I have a newspaper marriage announcement for Patrick and his second wife Margaret Cavanagh stating "second daughter of John Cavanagh Birr, Ireland" so assuming she too is from Ireland?
I have found lots of information for Patrick Moloney from trove.nla.gov.au here in Australia especially regarding his publican position at the Emerald Isle Hotel in Fremantle Western Australia, associating him with possibly assisting the "Escape of the Feniens" from Fremantle goal. Im assuming he may have had those connections in Ireland before coming to Australia? Although never convicted or charged with any proof in the aid of the escaped prisoners he & Johanna were constantly targeted by the police.
Patrick's letters he wrote to the newspaper (regarding the police) were written with such intelligence it was obvious he was well educated in Ireland. Articles written about them paint such a beautiful picture of their strong, empathetic & kind personalities and a "loved by all" in their community. Makes me so proud to be one of their many descendants.

MyMoloneyfam,
Thanks for sharing that information.
Hopefully some connection in Ireland will identify the the families.
