I am looking for information about my ancestor Patrick Mokler, who I believe may have been a land steward in Grangemockler in the middle of the 18th century. I am a direct descendant of his son, also called Patrick, who was born in Ireland in 1791 but moved to England . I am not sure of the date of the move but he was definitely there in 1817, as I have details of his marriage in London that year. The only other possible link I have to Patrick senior is a reference to a Patrick Mockler in a tax assessment for 1827 in the Tithe Appointment Books from Rathordan in the parish of Erry.
Many thanks for any information you an give me.

Hi,
The Patrick Mokler that is listed in the 1841 census in the UK, is it his father you are looking for?
The 1827 record you saw, did you look at the actual record where it states Thomas and Patrick Mockler?
If it is this one, He married Sarah Susannah Sullivan in 1817 in Hackney.
They had William Henry in 1822.
In 1837 he married Anne Prested says he was a widower.
In 1841 he is with Ann and a daughter.
Did he pass on in 1846?
Is this the correct family?
There are a few Mockler people between Thurles and Cashel.

Yes this is the correct family. It is Patrick's father, also called Patrick, that I am looking for. I live in England so do not know where Thurles and Cashel are or how to contact the people you mention.
