Patrick Ludden died before 1853 in Co Mayo. Patrick was a boat builder, as described by his daughter, Bridget Mary Ludden (1831 Mayo - 1893 Hartford, Ct). Patrick Ludden was married to Catherine Kitty Gavin in Co. Mayo. After Patrick's death, Kitty and Bridget emigrated to Stourbridge, Worcestershire, England sometime before 1851. Bridget Ludden married Patrick John Cafferty on 7 Feb 1853 in Stourbridge. Patrick Cafferty died in Stourbridge in 1883. I am searching for Cafferty and Ludden family members and information. I am Kenneth Brown, living in Atlanta, Georgia. My Ancestry DNA indicates my ancestors originated from Connacht, Galway, East and South Mayo.

A check for a "Ludden" Boatbuilder in the 1840'1850's in Mayo did not show any result in the local papers at that time.
Please see attached.
Some person from the Westport/Louisburgh area may have some knowledge of boatbuilders, other than the John McHale business.
