I was looking for the actual census record. I used Ancestry.com and found the actual record. Patrick's location was spelled Hyanaddy rather than the transcription spelling. Once I saw Hyanaddy, I immediately thought of the civil and RC parish of Islandeady which is in central Mayo just to the west of Castlebar. The RC records are available for the parish so I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and located a January 27 1856 baptismal record for a Patrick Hyland father Michael Hyland and mother Catherine Gibbons. They lived in a townland called Cummer in Islandeady civil parish. Patrick had at least four younger siblings: John 1863 Michael 1867 (he died in 1869) Catherine 1869 Bridget 1871

The parents were married February 17 1855 at Islandeady.

My guess is that Michael and Catherine and family emigrated to England sometime after 1871.
