Hello,
I am looking for the passenger manifest for the SS Austrian that departed Galway in June 1880. I would like a list of the passengers, please. I have gone to a site sponsored by the State of Massachusetts, the ship's destination, but that search engine requires me to submit a name - and I have none. I am doing research on the Connemaras.
Many thanks!

Dear Jane:
Thank you for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board. You might check out the Galway Heritage website which is doing research from Connemara through some of the local historical societies. The link is here: https://heritage.galwaycommunityheritage.org/content/category/topics/galway-emigration-and-diaspora-connections. The best of luck with your research.
Kind regards,
Jane

Dear Jane,
Thank you so much for responding to my post. I checked out the website you included in your post and, while the site includes the manifest of those who arrived in Boston on the SS Austrian in 1882, it doesn't have any information about those who came over in 1880, which is what I really need for my research. That said, the website you referred me to is excellent and contains a great deal of information. I will bookmark it for sure!
I do appreciate you responding to my inquiry.
Warm regards,
Jane Kennedy
