I have just received an email from IrelandXo with a 50% discount subscription offer for MyHeritage.
Can I please urge some caution in dealing with this company.
Two years ago I took up a similar discount offer. 12 months to the day I received an email from MyHeritage saying that my subscription had been automatically renewed. On the same day they deducted double the amount of the original subscription from my credit card. I did NOT agree to renewal and I certainly did NOT authorize the payment. It was almost impossible to find someone to speak with as this company seems to be based in Israel. I received an email saying that they could not find my email address!! This was the same email that they had written to me on. I was then told to read the "terms and conditions." It took me 6 weeks to get my money back and that was after lodging a formal fraud complaint through my bank.
This company has an appalling record on review sites. On Trust Pilot there are currently 23,317 reviews of MyHeritage and 7,300 (31%0 are negative with serious complaints. There seems to be a clear indication that many glowing positive reviews come from the company itself.

Members should be very careful in signing up for this so-called “deal.”
