When Thomas Mullowney (later going as Maloney) was born in 1792 in Ballina, his father Thomas Mullowney was 32 and his mother Catherine was 22. He married Bridget Earle in in Kilmoremay, Mayo in 1820. They had 13 children. He died in Canada.
Does anyone know if there are any descendants of his relatives still in Ballina?

Kathy:
Do you know when the family left for Canada? On the subscription site Roots Ireland, there is a December 12 1827 baptismal record for a Thomas Mullowney with father Thomas Mullowney and mother Bridget Early. The record was in the Kilfian RC church which is northwest of Ballina. Kilfian records start in 1826 but after 1836 there is a very large gap.
Finding relatives 200 years after the family left Ireland would be very difficult. Have you tested your DNA?

I will be in Ballina on May 26th and will stop by the Kilfian church for a picture if I can.
