Hello, I am trying to find inofrmation about John James Towey 1858 0r 1862 who was born in Ballaghaderreen CO Roscommn, now County Mayo.He moved to Birmingham and married Mary Ann Parsons who was also of Irish origin. His father was Hugh Towey and his mother Bridget.I
I am trying to find out more information about him and his family in Ireland and any relatives f his now living.. I am also trying to find out about his daughter Mary Elizabeth Towey born in 1897 in Birmingham and who died in 1970.. She was a single mother with a child born 1916. I have reason to believe that her partner and father of her child may have been Irish perhaps a lodger or visitor from Ireland ? There seems to have been a big Irish community where they lived at 12 LawrenceStreet Terrace A ,Birmingham.
Her daughter also called Mary Elizabeth Towey jnr born 1939-1977 in Birmingham. She was also a single mother. She had a son born in 1939 called John..Again I think that her partner may have been Irish.
I am trying to find trace any possible information about both of the partners of both Mary Elizabeth Towey. snr and Mary Elizabeth jnr
My daughter (daughter of John born 1939 to Mary Elizabeth Toweyjnr) recently did a DNA test on Ancestry and has come up with the follwing close DNA matches from her Dad's side of the family .They are cousins of hers.

John James Towey was baptized January 8 1858 in Ballaghaderreen. I looked for baptismal records for Toweys in Ballaghaderreen with father Hugh and there were at least three families. I think that it is likely that the maiden name for Bridget was also Towey. As you likely know, Towey is a very common surname in the Ballaghaderreen area.
There appear to be younger siblings to John James: Dominick, Hugh, Anthony and Bridget.
We will not be able to do research on the family in England as we focus on Irish records. We hope you understand.
