Hi Mary Jo Do you have Michael Flaherty’s spouse name?

Hi Gerald, First, let me apologize for not getting back to you sooner. At this time I have no idea what Michael's wife's name was. I do know that my 2x's great-grandfather Bernard Flaherty and his family were living in Maysville from about 1855-1870. By 1880 Bernard and his family were living in Cincinnati, OH. There were two other possible Flaherty families in Maysville at the same time, Thomas and Patrick. The 1860 census indicates they were probably next-door neighbors and their last name is spelled Flaugherty. My ancestor only lived a few houses away, his last name was spelled Flarity. Patrick is buried in St. Patrick's cemetery along with his wife and four children, his headstone lists his surname as Flarity. Michael is the only Flaherty buried at St. Patrick's. There is no other Flarity or any other variation of that surname at St. Patrick's Cemetery. I don't know what happened to Thomas. There is another Flaherty family, Martin and his wife Mary Coyne, living in Adams County, OH, which is across the Ohio River from Maysville. They are on the 1870s Census but by 1880 are living in Barry County, Missouri. Both Bernard and Martin's families attended St. Patrick's Church in Maysville. Martin and Mary were married in 1870 in Adams County, I have no idea when or where Bernard was married. I do know there's no marriage record for him at the Catholic Church in Clifden, Galway, Ireland. I have not been able to find a marriage record for Bernard, he was not married at St. Patrick's in Maysville, KY. Why these four Flaherty men were living in the same area at the same time I have no idea. It's possible Michael was their father and the only clue I have to that theory is Martin's death certificate. The certificate lists his parents' names as Michael Flaherty and Delia Joyce. Bernard and Patrick died before death certificates were officially recorded. If Michael was their father there's no record of their mother Delia being buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery. My family does have a DNA connection to descendants of Martin Flaherty, but so far no DNA connection to either Thomas or Patrick. Thank you for your help, Mary Jo
