Looking for any information on my 4ggandfather Alexander McKelvey (b1877?, d:1869? and his wife Elisabeth Sinclair (b1880?,d:?).
Their Son James (b:1821?, d:1896) married Eliza Dunshier (b:1827, d:1863) 17 Apr 1848 and left Ireland around May 1848 emigrated to Ontario, Canada. I have a lot of information on James and Eliza although her name might be Dunshee not Dunshier.

Many Thanks Elwyn, Their marriage registration confirms her surname of Dunshee and not Dunshier as well as the Parish of Muckno which I did not know. I am trying to determine where Liza was from - I think it reads Derryberry? Unfortunately the possible death information does not seem to have any McKelvey or Dunshee listed. Someone had said Alexander McKelvey might have died in 1864 in Loughbratty - I have attached a screenshot of that information. I do not think the James Dunshee and his wife Mary Anne are the parents of Eliza Dunshee as she was born about 1820 and Mary was not born until 1857 so Mary cannot be the Mother. Were you able to find any information on: 1.wife Elisabeth Sinclair (b1880?,d:? 2.Alexander McKelvey (b1877?, d:1869? 3. Any emmigration information for James McKelvay or Eliza Dunshee from Ireland to Canada in 1848? They married in Apr and the Son William was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada 2 Sep 1848? I really appreciate your assistance, Don

Don,
I read Liza’s townland as Derrycreevy and Griffiths Valuation does records a Dunshee household there c 1860.
The death that I linked to is for Martha Dunshee of Derrycreevy who died 1900 aged 23. Daughter of a farmer. Informant was her mother Mary A Dunshee. (Death no 91 on the page). The parents were James Dunshee & Mary Ann Stronge. They married in 1868. James’ father was Isaac Dunshee so James appears to be your Liza’s brother.

James death in 1906: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…
There is a death for Alexander McKelvey registered in Castleblaney in 1865. He was 87. Likewise an Elizabeth McKelvey in 1869 aged 88. Those certificates are not available free on-line and you need to send off to GRO Roscommon for them if you want to read the full details. You can order a research copy (photocopy) of the civil certificate from GRO Roscommon for €5 (euros). https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx
You can e-mail your order to them and they will e-mail the certificate back to you.
I don’t have any information on James & Eliza’s emigration. Generally speaking no records were kept in Ireland. Such records as do exist tend to be in the country of arrival, though as we know Canada didn’t start compiling them in a comprehensive way till the 1850s.
Tradition was to marry in the bride's church. Liza married in Muckno Church of Ireland so you might expect that to be where she was baptised. That churhc has records from 1810 onwards. Copy held in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. There is also coverage of some years - it doesn't say which - on the rootsireland site (subscription).
