Wanda,
I don't know about their Irish roots, but looking at the Shenandoah ship's arriving passenger list on 18 Jun 1844, this is what I see:
Mrs. McKane - 36 (did you think it said Mary?)...all the other married females are listed by "Mrs." on that document
George - 12
Mary Ann - 9
Thomas - 6
Henry -2
I did not see Mary Campbell, Robert, John or Bridget. Perhaps this is a different family.
Regards,
Carolyn

Wanda,
The 1850 US census for Philadelphia has some of the people you mention in your question....some variation too....
There is son Robert McKane (21), presumed wife Sarah (30), Ann Campbell (16), Mary McKane (55),
Henry McKane (9), James McKane (7), Agnes McKane (26), and Bridget McKane (22). This record and the
Shenandoah ship's record don't concur. Is it possible the two youngest children in this census record are
grandchildren of Mary?

Hello Carolyn,
Anything is possible! I know so little information on this entire family. Henry A. McKane and his family arrived in PA.
Seeking information on Henry A, McKane's parentage and born location in Ireland
I don't believe that young Henry was born in America as written on some records.
I feel that Mary McKane is his mother or grandmother and that Robert could possibly be his father.
Thank You, Carolyn, for researching this beautiful Irish- American Family.
