Good Morning,
I am looking for your help again if possible can you tell me anymore about my ancestors from Derry on my fathers side
My GGG grandfather George McDermott was born in Derry circa 1828. He married Ann McDermott (Buchanan) in 1848 in Derry. He died in Jan 23 1901 in City Poorhouse in Glasgow. His father was Roger McDermott and his mother was Ann McDermott (Allan). There is also some coincidence that on my mother's side that she was a Buchanan and her mother was an Allan. Although I have never seen any connection to Ireland on this side of my family.
Yours sincerely
George Curran

It's not clear if this is your George, but it might be.

Sorry...the 1820s George would not be your ancestor, as he was born c1828. But it may be a relative, such as a grandfather or uncle.
