Says age: 20 on the passenger list. Travelling with her cousin 'Mary Clancy', age 18, both from Limerick. Mary can read, Mary Ann can read and write 'little'. Roman catholic. 'Not Service? At home. Cook little.......Needle.' Ship the MOOLTAN.
Arrived in New Zealand 10 years later abt 1864 and married James CAIN.
Mary Ann's death cert says her father was a Commercial Traveller. Have no name for her father. Parents names not on Mary Ann's Intention to Marry notice or her death cert.
