Hello,
I'va attached the birth certificat of my Ggrandfather Thomas Faherty. I found his father - Martin Faherty death certificate. I can not find any other information. Accoding to Thomas' birth certificate my GGgrandmother was Mary Hastings.
I was able to trace Thomas very well. I have not been able to trace his parents Martin and Mary Faherty nee Hastings. I'm eve confused to which parish I should search. I'm open to any ideas.
Thank you - Kathy Snyder

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The two townlands were Cloonlooaun(1864) and Mullaghglass(1886) and they were both in Ballynakill parish in Ballynahinch barony. You have to be careful because there are four different Ballynakill civil parishes in Co. Galway. You have the one out near Clifden and here is a link to the parish page https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland/galway/ballynakill-ballynahinch In addition to Thomas, I located baptismal records on the subscription site Roots Ireland as follows: Stephen 1869 Catherine1871 Martin 1873 Patrick 1876 John 1878 Mary 1881 Please note: the records for Ballynakill RC parish start in 1869 so there could have been children between Thomas and Stephen and also before Thomas
I did find Mary's death record in 1895 and the informant was her son Michael so there is another child.
