Where did you get Tipperary from?
On her marriage, if she married, does it state her Fathers name?

Margaret was said to be 17 and from Tipperary from her shipping records

Unfortunately no parents names or Parish!! She married in Australia and still no parents names.

Ok, Kaye....... I found the ship record.
In the list the ladies have their Native Place and County.

Where it says 
Nenagh Tipperary......that means they are from the town
Roscrea Tipperary......thats the next town to Nenagh.
Where it states just Tipperary, then they are from Tipperary Town, County Tipperary.
Sometimes it says (Tipp) Tipperary.

There are 3 Margaret Galvin's 1829 to 1834.  Fethard, Bansha and Castletown.
Nearest to Tipperary town is Bansha.
Are you a member of Ancestry? 
This information is in there, if you are a member seach for Margaret Galvin, birth year, tipperary Ireland. You will see the Church records.
Try it I know they ra ehard to read but if you take the dates from the typed information you will find it.

It's just getting to know records, if it's explained then you know. 
What I do, is get the info from Ancestry then go to ....see the link below, sometimes they have the Bishop's records and they are clearer.

It's easy to use, just go to the County then the Parish with the info from ancestry.
Also you can then use the parents names to search for siblings.

We are very interested in documenting Orphan Girls in our County and Civil Parish Chronicles, as this way local volunteers and other members of those community groups can work together to find out more information about where they went to and who their descendants are today. Last Friday (30th October) I participated in an Irish family history conference organised in Sydney and it interesting conversations were had about how to find out more about the Orphan girls. 

I would be very grateful if you could add what you know about Margaret Galvin to our County Tipperary Chronicles, and hopefully we can help find out the workhouse she was once in.

I found a Margaret Galvin born in the correct year according to her age (although I know this is not reliable) born in Cahir. I see this is further out than Bansha. so I'm wondering which you think is more likely, the Bansha birth was three years earlier?

Hi Kaye........... this is where it gets tricky woo!
I could not say which one and the ages well they are a guess. 
For the Bansha and Cahir births you would have to have the parents name, which you don't have sadly.
A clue could be if they had a name on their house in Australia.
On the ship record (Pemberton) it's really up to you to decide if she was from Tipperay town.
She is the only Margaret Galvin on the ship.
When you look into the Tithe records there are 5 records for Galvin in Tipperary.
Michael, has 2 records and James has one record. No year stated but usually 1823. If they were still there in later years they would have been on the list stating the next years.
The other has 2 records and is Widow Galvin in 1825.

Another thing is, orphans were moved to main towns before they went on their journey. The place name stated could be where they left from.

In Griffiths Valuation here are 11 Galvin's in South Riding of Tipperary and 4 in the North Riding of Tipperary.

 The Margaret Galvin that was born in 1829 in Bansha, it's not your Margaret,I looked for her death, she died in 1873 and had never married.
Are you in Ancestry? If you search Margaret Galvin 1832+ and - 5 years, when the results show, look to the right, it will give a match.
A death was shown in 1873 and when I chech the Ireland site I found her death.  
If you check every  Margaret Galvin you may get yours.
It's so hard to get the correct people without any parents names.
I hope you do find where she was from.
