I am looking for any information on the Lydon and Conneely families. My great grandmother was Nora (Honor Lyden). She was born Feb. 1870 to Anthony Lydon and Sarah Connolly. She had a brother John and sisters Bridget, Barbara, Sarah, and Catherine. Perhaps there were other siblings. She married my great grandfather John W Conneely (now Connelly) in May of 1885.Shortly after her marriage Nora and John moved to Marcellus NY and then Syracuse, NY.. John Conneely's parents were William and Mary. John was born in 1861. His siblings were Sarah, Mary, and Ellen but there may have been more. John's sisters all moved to the Syracuse area. Any information on either of these familes would be greatly appriciated.
Thank you,
Mark & Mary Connelly

Mark and Mary:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The civil marriage record from 1885 listed Honor's age as 18 and if accurate her year of birth was 1867 or so

Records for Ballynakill RC church do not begin until 1869. I was unable to find any baptismal records for Lyden or Conneely children
I did find William Conneely in the 1901 census and a son Michael was listed so you have another sibling. William died in 1902 so in the 1911 census Mary the mother was living with Michael and his family. Mary died in 1920 and was listed as 98.
I will do some more searching.
