I am looking for my great grandfathers birth details. He was Timothy O'Regan and probably born about 1840/41 in Cork according to his death certificate. His father was also Timothy and mother Catherine Burns/Brynes. Timothy (Jnr) came to NZ in 1860.
I know Timothy Snr was a farmer and lived in Ballytrasna , Midleton, Cork and he died there in 1875. Timothy Snr (b1813) married Jane Daly in Cork in 1853. I think perhaps this was his second marriage. Timothy (Snr) and Jane went on to have a daughter in 1858. Through this daughter descendants I have a DNA connection.
I have lots of details of Timothy (Snr) where he farmed and details about his brothers and sisters, but I would like to know if he had been married before to Catherine Burns as stated on my great grandfathers death certificate.
Can anyone help? This has been a 30 year search.
