I am Jim Tighe from Baltimore, Maryland.  I am trying to find great great grandparents.who were from County Sligo; There names are Thadeum Thady Tighe and Catherinam Kerins, Thady was born approx.1814 and Catherinam approx.1821 both born in Sligo. They were married 07 Feb 1842 Roman Catholic, Taunagh, Sligo. They had 11 children, 7 died. Thady died in Ballymote in 1884 and Catherinam in 1922 in Sligo. I am trying to find their parents names baptism's records mother and father's names brother sisters cousins grandchildren or any other information.

    Fortunately records for Tawnagh/Riverstown RC parish go back to 1803. I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and located an 1821 Catherine Kerin baptismal record in Riverstown. See below.There was also an 1818 and 1825 Catherine Kerin baptismal records. I did not find a record for Thady (or a name close to Thady like Timothy) from 1809-1819 in Riverstown.

    The 1857 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Emlaghfad civil parish shows a Thaddeus Tighe in Rathdoony More townland likely your ancestor.

I have found Thaddeus Tighe living in Rathdoony More in 1857 through GriffithsValuation in the civil parish of Emlaghfad.again Thank You again!

    Can you please locate Thaddeus Tighe and Catherine Kerin Marriage record theywere Married in Tawnagh/Riverstown,on Feb.07,1842.

    For some reason, Roots Ireland did not transcribe the marriage record. I went to the actual parish register and found the entry. There were four marriages on February 7th and the Tighe/Kearins marriage was the last of the four. The register is in Latin but very legible. Let me know if you have any problems.
