I'm looking for any possible Harris relatives in Co Laois. My great-great-grandparents were John Harris and Ann Allyson Harris. Their son Peter Harris was my great-grandfather. They lived in Ballybrittan, south of Monasterevin, and all emigrated to the United States before the mid-1850s. Thank you for any help!

Monasterevin is in Co. Kildare and Ballybrittan is in Co. Offaly.
I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland for all of Ireland and did not find a baptismal record for Peter Harris with parents John and Ann.
Was the family Roman Catholic or Church of Ireland?

Thank you for the reply. I didn't realize Ballybrittan was in Offaly. My family was Catholic and Peter was born in 1821. It's disconcerting that nothing could be found about a baptism, but maybe records from their church weren't recorded in 1821.
