Kirrane and Monaghan families in Cloonmore

The 1901 & 1911 Census may contain information about these families if they continued to reside in the area.  The link for that is below:

You might also consider the Civil Registration Records which began in Ireland in 1864.  These records cover births, marriages and deaths and they are being uploaded in batches on the Irish Genealogy Website.  You might note that Kilvine falls under the Registration District of Tuam.  The link to this site is below:

Clare,  do you have anymore information on John Monaghan (who married Jane Tucker)--like witnesses or parents??  Many thanks.  My ggrandparents were Pat Monaghan and Hanorah Monaghan (both had the same surname)   and would love to find out more about them.

I do apologise, I just only now see your response to me in February 2018. I must have missed it as you replied not half an hour after I responded to you. :) 

I did a little research on resources available to me. I did find the church marriage record in the parish of Dunmore for John Monaghan and Jane Tucker, please find attached. Witness to the marriage was a Thomas Brennan and a James Loftus.

Do you have any information on Pat and Hanora Monaghan your gg grandparents, that I could help you with?

You may have to go down the root of a professional genealogist who can do more detailed research for you. Let me know if you need any help with finding one.

Thanks, Clare--and I just saw your response.  My ggrandfather was a blacksmith.  That would be Patrick Monaghan (married to Hanorah Monaghan).  They had six daughters:  Mary, my grandmother, Nelly, Norah, Margaret, and Brigid and I can't remember the name of the sixth but she, like my grandmother, and Norah and Nelly ended up in San Francisco.  Margaret and her husband, a Mr. Corley, stayed and inherited the forge.  In searching records--I get so mixed up on Townland, Parish, Barony etc.    Ardcloon, Dunmore, Arghdooey (or something like that) are names associated with Patrick and Hanorah's home)   Would love to know which was the official parish and which was the townland.   Just would love to officially know who Pat and Hanorah's parents were.
